Description
This type of Red Bib Shirt was part of the 1800’s firefighter uniform and is now part of the Bytown Fire Brigade “Reds Uniform” which consists of:
- the Bell Cap with a Bytown Fire Brigade Ceremonial Gold Hat Badge,
- Red Bib Firefighter Style Shirt,
- dark blue pants or cargo-type pants.
The Red Bib Shirts in stock were ordered by members and found not to fit. So these size Large Red Bib Shirts were never worn and are offered for resale here.
If you want a size other than large, then the Brigade has one supplier in California where these can be ordered. Contact store@bytownfire.ca to get vendor and order information.
The buttons that come on the shirt are flat grey metal. The Brigade has a supply of gold Canadian-type “FD” buttons that can replace the flat metal buttons. Seamstress costs to do the replacements buttons are borne by the purchaser.
