There is a long story about the Chaudiere Banner, and the early citizens of Ottawa, then called Bytown, gathering funds to purchase a hand pumper around 1840.
In essence, it was the first publicly funded fire pumper in Ottawa.
We have a large parade banner with that Chaudiere Company pumper image that takes two people to hold up.
We have a smaller panel version of the Chaudiere Company pumper image that is about half size. One panel is upstairs at the Bytown Fire Brigade and the other panel is posted at the Ottawa Fire Service (OFS) Training Centre.
And now we have the plaque version for sale to Members and to the public.
