La Famille Pagé – The Pagé Family

Firefighter Pagé earned badge number 45 when he was hired in 1897. He was the beginning of what was to become three generations in the Pagé family of firefighters.

Le pompier Pagé a obtenu l’insigne numéro 45 lors de son embauche en 1897. Il était le début de ce qui allait devenir trois générations de pompiers dans la famille Pagé.

The picture of the fire fighter diving is none other than the family adventurer Edward. He was well known to all as a daring man who took at least seven headlong dives from a 78-foot tower during the training program. It was part of a demonstration on the correct way to hit the net. This picture was taken in 1911 at the fire station number 4 located at the time on Cumberland and Georges Street in Lowertown.

La photo du pompier qui plonge n’est autre que l’aventurier de la famille, Édouard. Il était connu de tous comme un homme audacieux qui a fait au moins sept plongeons du haut d’une tour de 78 pieds pendant le programme de formation. Cela faisait partie d’une démonstration sur la manière de toucher le filet. Cette photo a été prise en 1911 à la caserne de pompiers numéro 4 située à l’époque à l’intersections des rues Cumberland et Georges dans la Basse-Ville.

Chief Pagé earned badge 117 when hired in 1927. He was to become the second generation in the Pagé family of firefighters.
